Online registration is now OPEN! Don't forget to register your child for the 2026-2027 school year! Students who have registered and uploaded or provided proofs by Friday, May 15th will be allowed to dress out of uniform all next week. Mrs. Kailey will be running a report on Friday to see who has completed registration. (So far only 50 students have registered.) We will send home out of uniform passes with those students who have completed registration. If you need a device to register or help registering, you may call or come by the school between 9:00 am and 11:30 am. Our office staff will be avaliable to help you.

Don't forget to put on sunscreen and dress in your grade level colors (see flyer). Students participating in the COLOR RUN will need to bring a change of clothes and a towel to use after field day is over. This will prevent excess color from being spread inside the building.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-2027 school year will be on Friday, May 15. Drop in anytime between 9:00 am - 11:00 am or 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Complete the online registration process at www.mcpss.com. Click the Registration icon and then select NEW STUDENT. Complete all information online. Computers and assistance registering will be available at Booth Elem. during registration times. Please bring the required registration documents: student's social security card, student's birth certificate, Alabama certificate of immunization, 2 proofs of residence (mortgage/lease and utility bill), and Parent/Guardian's photo ID. Field Day and Color Run is POSTPONED! We have been monitoring the weather for tomorrow's Field Day very closely. Due to the Color Run and other activities we will not be able to have field day inside therefore, we are rescheduling Field Day and the Color Run for MONDAY, MAY 11 from 9:00 - 11:30. I am sorry for this change but we cannot control the weather. We will not be passing out Hot Tickets today. All students may dress out of uniform tomorrow. Students may wear their color run t-shirt tomorrow with shorts or pants if they purchased them. Please remember that no short shorts should be worn. Shorts should reach the student's fingertips.

This Friday, we’re celebrating Read Across America with “Silly Socks & Secret Readers!” Students may wear their silliest socks to school as we welcome special secret readers into our classrooms for surprise read-alouds. It’s going to be a fun day filled with stories, smiles, and lots of sock style! We can’t wait to see those silly socks and share the joy of reading together.

Booth does a service project for the community each year. This year, we would like to surprise the residents of the Grand Bay Convalescent Center with care baskets to show them how LUCKY we are to have them! If you are able and would like to help, please send the item assigned to your student’s grade level below!

Our chocolate bar fundraiser is in full swing. If you want to pick up a box to sell during Mardi Gras break, please send a note or come by the school before 2:30 tomorrow to pick up a box. All chocolate bar money is due on Monday, February 23rd.

It will be cold in the morning but should warm up nicely by the end of the day. Please make sure your student is wearing Booth's regular school uniform tomorrow. Outerwear must be removed when students get to their classroom.

We have not received any information of school cancellation at this time. So as of now, school will be in session as normal tomorrow. Due to cold temperatures tomorrow (1/26) and Tuesday (1/27), we will allow non-uniform winter clothing including sweatshirts, jackets, sweatpants, beanie hats, and gloves so that our students may stay warm. Hoodies will also be acceptable but students will be asked to remove the hood from their heads in the building. Remember inside the building will be warm so students will want to dress in layers.
